Earle competed for the Wildcats during the late 90s when CWU was competing in the NAIA ranks. As a starting pitcher in 1999, Earle earned first-team all-league honors en route to an NAIA West Coast Player of the Year award. He was named to the west all-region team as a sophomore and senior, and ranks in the top five of nearly every pitching category.
Earle is the all-time leader in career wins (29), complete games (26), most innings pitched (276.0), and most strikeouts (277). He also holds the single season mark for opponent batting average at .195, wins (12) and complete games (12), all of which came in the 1999 season.
