CWU's first national swimming champion along with Gerald M'alella. Won 500 yard freestyle in 1964 (5:20.5) and 1966 (5:09.6) and 1650 yard freestyle in 1966 (18:25.5) at NAIA national meet. Earned degree in physical education with minor in geography. Later taught and coached at Gresham Ore. High School.
