Central Washington University Athletics

Was a highly successful women's basketball and field hockey coach and was also CWU's 1983-84 Distinguished Professor in Public Service. Was head women's basketball coach between 1958 and 1968 and from 1978 until 1982, compiling a record of 212-77 in 16 seasons. Had a 74-7 record in 11 seasons as field hockey coach. Founded the paramedics program at CWU in 1975 and taught swimming, first aid and CPR classes for many years.
