Hall of Fame
Clintworth was a Central track and. field standout, competing in the pole vault for the Wildcats from 1966 to 1969. Upon his induction into the Athletic Hall of Fame, he still ranked sixth on the school's all-time list in the event with a career-best mark of 14 feet, 10 % inches. He set that mark as a, sophomore, in 1967. Decades later, Clintworth continued to excel in track and field, competing in master's events. He also has been instrumental in the coaching profession, helping to educate youth and others involved with the sport of track and field.
