Football team captain in 1941. All-conference in football 1939-41. Also lettered in basketball, track and golf. Played one season (1944 with Washington Redskins. Coached 19 seasons and taught 28 years at Mount Si High School. Won Joe Cote Coach-of-the-Year award in 1950.
