CWU's 1942 team captain and Associated Press honor-able mention Little AII-American play-calling guard. Second team all-league quarterback in 1941. Also played three sea-sons of basketball. Played one season of football at WSU following World War II. Taught for 34 years at Seattle's Roosevelt HS. Won 3. league football titles in nine seasons as head coach. Won 3 divisional and 1 league title in 16 years as baseball coach. Finalist for Pl Man-of-the-Year in 1964.
