Central Washington University Athletics

An outstanding football player for CWU between 1956 and 1958, he served the university as a coach and administrator for more than three decades. Earned second team all conference honors in 1957 and first team in 1958 at offensive center. Served as CWU's head coach in baseball (1968-78), women's basketball (1983-93) and softball (since 1995), winning more than 400 contests. Also was school's athletic director between 1980-99. Elected to NAIA National Hall of Fame in 1997.
