Is a two-time Evergreen Conference heavyweight champion, winning titles in 1966 and 1967 and compiling a dual meet record of 17-4-2. Placed fifth in the 1966 NAIA national meet. Served three years in Army upon graduating in 1968, winning Silver Star in Vietnam. Compiled 94-49-1 dual meet record in 10 seasons as head wrestling coach at Ellensburg High School before embarking on career in school administration.
