Wing was a three-year letter winner in basketball for the Wildcats from 1982-85. She transferred to Central after one year at the University of Puget Sound, setting the school-record for assists in a career with 251, including a single-season record of 143 during her senior season. Wing also broke career and single-season marks for steals, totaling 258 steals in three years and 143 in her final campaign. Wing scored 449 points in 78 career games (5.8 ppg) and was the first recipient of the Best Defense Award.
