Led CWU to conference tennis titles in 1939 and 1940. Compiled record of 28-5 in singles and 24-4 in doubles. Conference No. 1 singles champion in 1939 and 1940. Teamed with brother Clyde to finish second in doubles in 1939 and win 1940 conference doubles title. Selected among All-Time Top 10 players for state of Oregon.
