Won 1971 NAIA national 134-pound wrestling title leading the Wildcats to first ever national team title in any sport. Placed second at nationals in 1972. Participated in 1972 Olympic Trials, winning one match. Posted career record of 67-19-2, including 41-4-1 record during junior and senior seasons.
