Pat Maki made the most of his two seasons at Central Washington University. After transferring from Spokane Falls Community College, Maki totaled six interceptions as a junior, followed by a 13 interception campaign in 1972. His 13 INTs in 1972 is a school record, one of which was returned 100 yards for a touchdown, which is also a school record. Maki held the record for most interceptions (19) for 19 years. He graduated from CWU with a BA in Education.
