Armstrong was posthumously inducted into the Hall of Fame, having passed away in 1999. The former Wildcat lineman went on to have a legendary coaching career at Snohomish High School with stops at Everett, Sultan, and Camas high schools. He finished his 32-year high school coaching career with 272 victories, ranking him third in Washington Interscholastic Activities Association (WIAA) history in 2009.
