Compiled a record of 50 wins and 12 losses between 1979 and 1981, winning three All-American awards in the 126-pound weight class. Placed second in the 1979 and 1980, NAIA national meets, finishing with records of 18-6 and 18-1. Finished eighth in the 1981 national meet, posting a 14-5 overall record.
