Selected to NAIA All-American team in 1961 at offensive center. All-conference center in 1960 and all-conference center and linebacker in 1961. Taught and coached at Castle Rock and Ephrata high schools and at CWU and the University of Montana. Won back-to-back state titles at Ephrata in 1986 and 1987.
