Earned eight letters in football, basketball and baseball between 1947 and 1950. 1949 Honorary captain and second team all-league end in football. Member of 1950 basketball team that qualified for the NAIA national tournament for the first time in school history. Batted .409 in Evergreen Conference play to rank second on the team in hitting in 1949. Coached football, basketball and golf for many years at the high school level.
